Through Inside Magritte, the audience faces the dreamlike universe unleashed by the painting of the father of Belgian Surrealism: in the immersive space, the images of Magritte’s painting undermine our certain, customary views of the world.
Inside Magritte takes visitors through a 50-minute immersive experience, highlighting all of the snares of common language and of pictorial illusion. Visiting the show will allow to experience a seamless space: from the walls to the floor, Magritte’s works will take life in a unique flow of dream and symbols. Curated by art historian Julie Waseige, under the aegis of the Magritte Succession in Brussels, Inside Magritte is a clear example of how the rigour of critical discourse may encounter the expressive potential of digital languages.
