What we do
RACHO-Uganda supports children (and their families) affected by mutilation and sacrifice within a ritual setting; through therapy, medical assistance, social support and litigation. We work within the local community to deliver education, healthcare and outreach programs aimed at reducing the number of people affected by fake traditional healers.
Through advocacy and research we campaign at a local, national and international level to stop the abuse of innocent children.
We want to see a world where no child has to suffer abuse in traditional practises. Where the perpetrators of these atrocities are brought to justice and establish an effective model to eradicate the practise of human sacrifice, whilst empowering the people we support to have a secure future.
Established in 2006, RACHO consists of two sister organisations; RACHO-UK is the funding and regulating arm of RACHO-Uganda.
RACHO needs your support to increase public awareness of this awful situation to enable us to implement strategies and projects at a level where we can make a significant enough impact to reduce the frequency of this rampant problem.
We as an organisation, passionately believe that if this growing phenomenon is not tackled head on through counselling, education and awareness, it will continue to be a problem that blights the Ugandan people.
